Prague Philharmonic Children´s Choir

South Korea and Russia tour 2014

Only a few days after the ceremonial christening of its new profile CD in Prague, the choir set out this Monday on an Asian concert tour, starting in South Korea and ending in Russia. This is the second time the choir has been to Seoul, their first visit being seven years ago during their first tour of South Korea and Japan where they had great success. This time the young singers under Petr Louženský appeared in seven concerts, which included Otmar Mácha's music and dance piece Spring Celebration, and for a number of years has gained an enthusiastic reception from audiences around the world.

At the beginning of May the choir will move to Russia, where they will have four concerts under Prof. Jiří Chvála. The main concert takes place in the famous Tchaikovsky Hall of the Moscow State Philharmonic, as part of the Easter Festival gala evening. The choir will also appear in the Orthodox cathedral in Kaluga and at Moscow University.
